This year the Edinburgh Festival was officially opened by a light show up Arthur’s Seat in the shape of runners wearing special light suits. You can have a look at some slides of it here. They’re from the Guardian website and apart from the runners they also show some good shots of Edinburgh in the gloaming.
Interesting – though the score sounds a bit like a bagpipe running out of air.
I’ve always wanted to go the Edinburg Tattoo, but I hate crowds. (Mardi Gras – the reveler’s dream – was a nightmare for me.) I’ll have to settle for the odd youtube clip.
Pearl,
I’m exactly the same so I usually avoid Edinburgh at festival time as the Royal Mile is taken over by hordes of mad people all trying to get you to go to see their show!
