Andy Murray at Dunblane

Andy Murray didn’t manage to get to the official homecoming of the Scottish Olympians in Glasgow but yesterday he did go home to Dunblane to show everyone his medals, and the whole town turned out for him. We thought about going but having seen the crowds – I’m now glad that we didn’t. Apparently he was in the High Street for hours signing autographs. Then he played for hours at the tennis club, there was a huge queue of kids all waiting to have a knock about with him. It’s one of the reasons that I liked him in the first place, he never disappoints the wee ones, even when he lost a match he didn’t walk off with head down, like most professional tennis players seem to. He always signed everyone’s ball or paper.

Anyway, I thought you might be interested in this clip, it’s quite long and might not be all that interesting to you, on the other hand it also shows part of Dunblane, a typical small town in central Scotland.
