I’m Sure I Should Be Doing Something

For a few days I’ve been thinking that I’ve forgotten something crucial. I had a horrible feeling that something was happening at the beginning of February, but what?

I scrutinized my lovely Klimt calendar – no it’s BLANK. It can’t be a dental appointment because I was there recently. It’s nobody’s birthday that I can think of.

Then it dawned on me. February, 2nd is Pining for the West’s blogiversary! Phew, nothing important to worry about then, it has been three years, I can hardly believe it. How time flies when you’re having fun. My thanks to everyone who drops by, especially those who take the time to comment.

  1. Congratulations, Katrina! Still haven’t read every post you’ve written, but I’m working on it! It’s great! Here’s to the next three years! Hope to see you soon!

    • Evee,
Thank you. You poor wee scone – if you’re going to wade your way through all of ‘Pining’. See you soon, one way or another and weather permitting!

  2. Congratulations! It is also Ground Hogs day here in the states. If the ground hog comes out of his hole and sees his shadow he goes back in the hole and its 6 more wks. of winter. It’s also my oldest son’s birthday, 35 tomorrow. I am getting old! It is like spring here so hopefully the ground hog will stay out!

    • Peggy,
Thank you. It would be Ground Hogs day, I often feel like I’m stuck like that! I’m sure you don’t worry about getting old as it’s so much better than the alternative, but it is strange when sons get older and you notice they have a wrinkle or two! I hope he has a good birthday. It’s freezing here. I’ve had to break the ice in the garden so the birds could get at the water!

    • Pearl,
Thank you – it seems like ages since you’ve blogged, but then you’re busy with work. Maybe I should join Facebook if you’re there more often!

  3. Congratulations, Katrina! I only found you less than a year ago, but you have a loyal follower here! Happy Blog Anniversary!

    • Stefanie,
Thank you. It’s horrible when you have that feeling isn’t it! Almost as bad as thinking you’ve left the kids somewhere (when they were wee) – then you remember you actually got out of the house without them for once!

    • Niranjana,
Thank you. I’m so glad it’s not my real birthday as James Joyce and I don’t get on. I share my real birthday with Agatha Christie!

    • Jo,
Thank you. I haven’t felt like packing it in although I hear that it’s normal to lose the enthusiasm for blogging after 18 months or so – but not so far for me. It’s just a bit of fun!

  4. Hi Katrina,
first of all congratulations! While browsing the tiny library I stumbled upon your blog and just had to pay a visit! An excellent blog, hope you continue having fun writing about your interests!

    • Patty,
Thank you. I’ve just hopped over to A Tale of Three Cities and seen that we have quite a lot of books in common. I’m sure I’ll be back!

      Katrina
