A few weeks ago I mentioned that I had bought some 1930s pottery at the Ingliston antiques fair – stuff which I need like a hole in the head, especially as we have too much to pack up already. Anyway, by popular demand – here’s a photo of the things which I just couldn’t resist. If you hate them, just say as I do – each to their own!
I think I’m going to use the Sanderson fabric (Jubilee) in the background to re-cover an old screen which I have, eventually.
I love them! Especially the plate. The fabric is great too.
Peggy,
It’s just more stuff to pack up but I’m sure they’ll fit into the new place – somehow!
I especially like the two green ones in the front. They look a bit like McCoy pottery from the US.
Joan,
Green was a popular colour back then, the new place is going to be very green I think.
I absolutely love the fabric! I love the colours in it. To be fair, I can take or leave the pots.
Jo,
I just had to buy the fabric, although at the time I had no idea what I was going to do with it.
I must visit the antiques fair at Ingliston one of these days! Does the Sunday market still go on? I used to visit that quite often when I stayed in Edinburgh. That was years and years ago now though!
Evee,
There seem to be a lot of things going on there but I don’t know about a Sunday market.
