It has been very quiet on ‘Pining’ over the last few days, that’s because we’ve actually been in that west that I pine for – Glasgow to be precise, celebrating our youngest son’s wedding. A great time was had by all and if you’re very unlucky you might see some photos of us all soonish.
Here is a photo of the venue to be getting on with.
Hope all went smoothly, but if it was a proper Glasgow wedding the real reasons its been quiet are (a) you are all nursing hangovers, (b) none of you are talking to each other, and (b) you haven’t a clue where you left your bag – complete with camera.
John R,
LOL – yes I’m sure some people were nursing hangovers – but I’m not guilty! I nearly lost my hat though. In my experience it is the Fife weddings that are really wild, I remember hearing about one bride in Glenrothes who left her reception, got on a bus and went home to get a hatchet – then went back to the venue, and had to be held back!
The venue looks lovely! Glad to hear you had a good time and look forward to hearing more when you’ve caught up. I’ve been quiet too – too many visitors! I hope you had the sunshine while you were celebrating in the west!
Sandra,
No it was a typical wet July day so there are no photos of the lovely surroundings.
I simply cannot wait for photos!!
Secondly, I do hope you take at least a few days to jaunt about your favorite spots in the West. I’d be dying to hear about those as well!!
Congrats to all!
Judith
Judith,
Thanks. We ended up so exhausted that we drove home on Sunday, reaching here in the afternoon, the weather wasn’t great. I’m hoping to win the lottery to be able to afford a pied a terre in the West – must start doing the lottery I suppose!
Congratulations to the mother of the groom! Hope you made some lovely memories.
Jo,
It certainly was a memorable day.
