I was doing well with 20 Books of Summer, until August came along and then I was just too busy running around in the Scottish Borders and Highlands to be able to get much reading done. Also I had four books that I had requested from the library arriving all at once – why does that always happen?! So I just had to read those ones as I had asked for them. Anyway, my list is below with links to what I thought of the ones that I did manage to read.
Thank you Cathy @ 746 Books for setting the challenge up.
1. An Autumn Sowing by E.F. Benson
2. Nine Coaches Waiting by Mary Stewart
3. Touch Not the Cat by Mary Stewart
4. Madam, Will You Talk by Mary Stewart
5. A View of the Harbour by Elizabeth Taylor
6. A Place to Stand by Anne Bridge
7. The Moon King by Neil Williamson
8. Runyon from First to Last by Damon Runyon

10.The Suspect L.R. Wright
11. Noble Descents by Gerald Hanley
12. Silence for the Murderer by Freeman Wills Crofts

I know what you mean about August being busy! Hopefully you’ll get back to the other ones eventually, Katrina. There are one or two on your list that I shall be interested to hear your thoughts on
Sandra,
September is going to be a much quieter month I hope, until the end of it when we’re off again on travels. I should get plenty of reading done then.
I hope you’re off somewhere nice, Katrina. And hopefully we’ll get to share it with you when you return!
Sandra,
We’re back now but we were on Skye and at Dornie, where the most photographed castle in the world is!
I read all but 18 books from my 20 books of summer list, and I agree, it was a great challenge to keep me focused on some books I had been meaning to read.
tracybham,
I really must concentrate on my own books, as I’ve bought so many recently!
You did much better than I did! August was busy but it didn’t help that I wanted to read books not on my list!
Margaret,
That is a problem with these lists, I’m much happier just picking up something that I fancy reading just at that particular time!
