I’m going to be really busy with family, house, garden and travelling now that summer is on the horizon, so I’ve decided to take a break from blogging for a while.
Have fun, I intend to!

Have a lovely break!
I hope you enjoy your blogging break, Katrina!
This is a great time of year for a break although you will be keeping busy in other ways. Have a good time, especially with family and traveling.
I see that you have been busy reading the Karen Pirie series lately. I hope to be reading The Skeleton Road soonish.
Enjoy your sabbatical!
Have a great break! But remember to come back…!
Katrina,
How I’ll miss you as I’ve dived into blogging again.
Do enjoy everything spring and summer has to offer!
I will try to indulge my longing for your posts by diving into some of those I’ve missed.
Judith
Have fun!
Enjoy your time off! Maybe when you come back we can see some lovely photos of your garden.
Hi! Found your blog quite by chance as I was trying to work out where in Scotland R Pilcher had set *September*. Your post (2010!) was helpful. Thank you. And the rest of your site is great too!
Tiny note: you mention that *The Shell Seekers* is party set in Portugal. It’s not; it was Ibiza. And I wouldn’t have known except that I have just reread it. Anyway, I hope I’m not offending you. Not meaning to be persnickety or pedantic.
Have a great break!
Allie,
Thank you for that information, my geography is not brilliant for places I haven’t visited, I definitely appreciate your correction, I’ve been known to be persnickety (great word) and pedantic myself. I did go to Porto once and got sunburnt in October so Ibiza is definitely not for me. Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment. I’ve just got back from travelling around the Highlands and wasn’t looking in at ‘Pining’ while away.
Katrina
PS: I completely agree with you that *September* is the book that means more to me. Utterly evocative of Scotland.
Lucky you to be in Scotland!
Alison,
Loch Ness is just about a three hour drive from us although it tends to take us longer as we stop off at various places on the way!
