It was my friend Cecilia who sent me a You Tube link to Scottish comedian Danny Bhoy’s hilarious but oh so true to life desciption of a ceilidh, or Scottish country dance.

The comments are amusing too as so many people have had exactly that experience.  I know I have!  Thanks Cecilia.

I live in the east of Scotland, not from choice. After 30 years here it still doesn't feel like home. Hence the name of my blog. West is still best as far as I am concerned. I used to work in libraries, I'm now retired. I have two grown up 'boys'. I'm interested in books, films, art, crafts, cooking, politics, museums and travelling around Britain.
