You might know that Evee and I had a day out in Edinburgh the other day and she has just published a great informative blogpost about it. Evee was born and brought up in Edinburgh so she knows a lot more about it than I do. So if you’re interested in the Windy City or you just want a wee bit of a keek at what we were up to on Thursday – hop over to Evee’s blog.
I agree you have to be fit to climb the hills (and the steps) in Edinburgh – and what’s more, come down them again, which is why I don’t do it very often these days. Hope you’ve recovered now. I think I’m just about there!
Thanks for the plug, by the way. Hope everyone enjoys it! It IS a lovely city, isn’t it! But then so is Glasgow! I have mixed allegiances here!
Evee,
Yes Glasgow gets a bad press but you can still stand in the west end and see lovely hills in the distance, and there are beautiful buildings all over it. Not to mention the people and their patter of course!
Thanks for the link to Evee’s blog, Katrina. It’s a great armchair tour of Edinburg. And that’s a terrific photo of you! What beautiful long, red hair you have.
Joan,
Well for once I don’t have my eyes closed in a photo. My hair has grown a lot in the last few months, I must update my blog photo! I do have bits of silver here and there amongst the red and there is a long standing family dispute as to whether my blonde bits are now white or not!
I went white in my thirties, dyed it for a while, and then got lazy and concerned about chemicals near my brain. My Jack sweetly refers to my ‘platinum blonde’ hair. I’ll settle for that. I just wish I could find a style that didn’t make me look like a mop!
Joan,
I think your hair looks great and it’s very fashionable at the moment. I’ve been using hair straighteners to try to tame my mane amd it’s fine until there’s a gust of wind, then I’m back to the wild sheep dog look. We’ve both got really thick hair I suppose and it’s certainly better than the alternative!
Great post and pictures, really informative. I must now take pictures of my area, it has inspired me to do some walking!
Jo,
Well walking is great for blowing the cobwebs away as well as being good for the figure. I’m looking forward to seeing some photos of your area as I haven’t visited that neck of the woods yet!
