If you look closely at my sidebar, just underneath the About bit (new photo BTW argh), you’ll see that I’ve joined Pinterest and Facebook at last. I haven’t done much on Facebook as yet but my Pinterest boards are filling up with stuff I like, although some of my boards are still empty, it’s wishful thinking so far but I’m sure it’ll be a fun place for me to visit anyway.
I think it’ll be a handy place to keep favourite recipes and the like, the Organic Textures board is completely empty, but when I eventually get around to downloading all my photos, they will hopefully be useful for embroidery inspirations, that’s the idea anyway. Maybe they’ll be useful to other people too.
Have a look at some of the things I admire – if you have the time.
Ohhhh! I was hoping to find you on facebook. I’ll be sharing some additional photos of our trip this weekend. I posted a couple already.
As you may recall, the weather last weekend was particularly spectacular for the wedding and we had a fantastic time.
Wish we could have met up while I was in Edinburgh. Pretty slammed with all the wedding activities, but would loved to have squeezed in a cup of tea with you.

I was fairly sure you would be busy with your family, maybe the next time you are here we can meet up. I was thinking of you all as I was hanging out my washing on Saturday morning in the sunshine and later in the day I was so pleased it had stayed lovely, for the bride in particular.

It sounds like it’s a Celtic Challenge then as Lewis was from Belfast, we have friends who used to live in a house which was just behind what had been Lewis’ childhood home in Belfast, so I’ve seen it but it wasn’t open to the public. I read some George MacDonald books a while ago, the Princess ones and At the Back of the North Wind. I enjoyed them as an adult. They were such a tragic family with TB taking so many of them. I’m sure Mark Twain befriended MacDonald. We’ve just got back from York and crossed the border at Coldstream, I wonder if you can find it on your map!
Have my BIG atlas on my lap as I type. The book has quotes and beliefs of George MacDonald compiled by C.S. Lewis. MacDonald was a major influence on Lewis. My daughter’s main objective when visiting Belfast was to see the C.S. Lewis statue and she did.

I think we missed the statue! It sounds an interesting book. I meant to say that I’ve read the Narnia books but nothing else by Lewis.
I was a slow FB adopter, but I find I quite like it now. I think the trick is to figure out one’s boundaries on what’s shareable, and then stick to it. Pinterest is too scary…

I’m not at all sure about FB and I agree completely with you about being careful what I put on it. I’m amazed by people putting every move of theirs on the internet – now that’s scary! Pinterest will just be a time gobbler I think, but fun too I hope.
