Penelope Lively and Fanny Trollope from the Guardian

It’s nearly the weekend again and I’m just getting around to linking to a couple of the articles which appeared in last Saturday’s Guardian review, where does the time go?

Anyway, if you’re interested in Penelope Lively you might be like to read her article on old age.

And Lucy Ellmann writes about her hero – Fanny Trollope.

  1. Thanks so much for the link to the Penelope Lively article. I am not old enough to have the problems she has but old enough to start thinking about it. Her insights and attitude was very interesting and useful and inspiring.

    • TracyK,
I thought that too. It’s funny how so many older people don’t want to go back to the time when they were young, I think most younger people just assume that everybody would want to be young.

  2. Just printed Penelope Lively’s article about aging. Every time you recommend an article from the Guardian, I check it and find it interesting, especially the book section. I enjoyed her most recent book and it was my first. Thanks.

    • Lorraine,
I’ve only read a few of her books but I enjoyed them. I’m glad you liked her Guardian article, we get the actual newspaper but I like to share the articles online if I think people will be interested.
