This one is for Peggy the lamb fan. We almost bumped into the lamb as we were on our way home from St Andrews on Saturday, he was in the middle of the road when we turned a corner, obviously he had just escaped from the field. I bet that lamb has worried his mother since the day he was born.

The lamb started to race along the road just in front of our car, so we had to stop as there were cars coming in the opposite direction and we were frightened that he would veer into the oncoming traffic. Eventually he ambled onto the grass verge and as we drove past he looked back the way he had come, I wonder if he made it back home. Given the price of lamb he’s lucky that someone didn’t hoick him into their boot for future Sunday dinner!

I’m saying ‘he’ because surely a wee girl would not have been so much trouble to her mummy.
