I quite fancy trying out this ‘broch’.
or maybe Sumburgh Lighthouse.
Tree Howf at Dunblane looks quite luxurious.
Or a shepherd’s hut on Skye, for a very close couple I think!
They’re definitely quirky holiday homes.
You should try each one!
Peggy,
That will take us a while!
That shepherd’s hut looks stunning, but there again, maybe the broch …. When you’ve finished with it of course đŸ˜‰
Gorgeous places!
Sandra,
Some of the surroundings look very tempting.
Hi Katrina,
Ken and I studied each one on the website. Ken, being from Maine, was enamored by the lighthouse. He also loved the “sod house,” the underground palace. He and I both loved the Perthshire place. I could really picture myself there, but the bed is only big enough for me! I would have to request a wee cot for Ken if we were to go there. Lots of fun! Thanks for sharing,
Judith
Judith,
I know that when I first knew about lighthouse keepers I thought – that’s the job for me! Sadly they are almost all automated nowadays. Does Ken miss Maine? everyone seems to want to live there. LOL (as they say) – you definitely wouldn’t be happy in the shepherd’s hut then.
The ‘broche’ looks really quirky! Kind of reminds me of something from Lord of the Rings!
Emma,
I agree. It’s not my idea of a broche but I believe it would be quite cosy. Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment.
