I’m very late in getting around to doing this Six in Six post which is hosted by Jo at The Book Jotter, better late than never though! Half-way through the year it’s a good time to look back at the books I’ve read already, and think about what I might be reading soon.

I note down all the books I’ve read in a jotter as I finish them, with wee notes in the margins. It seems that I’ve only read four non-fiction books so far this year, so I hope to improve on that score over the second half of the year. Shockingly it looks like I’ve only read two books in translation – must do better!
Well done! Looks like you’ve had lots of excellent reading so far this year and across a wide variety. I’m always impressed by how much Scottish fiction you read. I tried this last weekend and completely failed this year – I simply couldn’t find 6 categories that had six books in them. I decided to give up before my head exploded… ?
FictionFan,
I must admit I struggled at 6 which is why I did six that I was hoping to read in the future. There are so many great Scottish authors to choose from, I never have a problem!
Katrina, I’m absolutely fascinated by this prompt and your list of books. Must return to your post tomorrow to fully absorb. I think I might try this. Have just a smidgin of time in my writing class schedule this week to maybe consider trying this. We’re in for super heat this weekend, so it might be excellent timing.
Judith,
I hope that it isn’t too hot where you are. It is cool here now and we’ve had quite heavy rain this evening, the garden needed it so I’m definitely not complaining!
Thank you very much for joining in. Not too late at all!
Some books I need to check out!
Jo,
Thanks for organising it all!
